At that time, I was seeking for a new job after quitting my old one, so I started finding things to make money and finally found the temporary jobs for APAO and IEEE 2019. Actually, I have no experience of being a temporary staff so I think it is a good opportunity to gain some, and that is why I applied for them. Being temporary staff of convention and exhibition events was really fun and knowledgeable as I had to do many things to make the events run smoothly. For my duties in both events, I have to say I did many things such as selling technical tour, helping registration, and anything ordered by my employers. Also, I used to work in conference room listening to presentations of many ophthalmologists even I did not understand it that much, but all of these totally made my world wider.
During the IEEE, I realized I would like to do this job so I asked one of my employers about the job detail and how to apply it for my reference. What made me so happy at that time was after the event ended, an another of my employer asked me to send resume if I was interested this job, then I sent my resume to her 1-2 days after without hesitation. I think the reasons why she gave me the
opportunity are because of my flexibility, adaptation, and willing to help, and I also feel really thankful for my manager and everyone in my team for the opportunity they gave me from back then until now. Before I got this job, I thought the job would be just coordinating between many parts to make the events run smoothly, but after I have worked for 2-3 months, I realizedit’s not just like that, the details of the work are a lot more than I thought. However, how hard the work is cannot decrease how fun thework is. What I expect from this job are many experiences in many scopes of work like my manager once said to me
“This job is like reading many pages of book”. Now, I clearly understand her.
